August 20th, 2022, SUECS Accredited Company just wins the supply contract of steel pipe materials from BASF Zhanjiang Complex Project, which is planned to invest USD10 billion by BASF wholly in Zhanjiang, Guangdong of China.

Dow Signs $250M MoU to Establish Specialties Manufacturing Hub at Zhanjiang, China 陶氏化学签订在湛江东海岛投资2.5亿美金特种材料制造枢纽基地协议
March 5, 2021, Dow, Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Zhanjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone Administrative Committee (Zhanjiang EDZ) to build the Dow South China Specialties Hub. Under the MOU the Company would invest approximately $250 million to construct specialty polyurethanes and alkoxylates facilities, with a total product capacity of approximately 250,000 tons. The site also offers opportunity for future development and expansion at the Specialties Hub.
Henry Ling, Vice President of Operations, Dow Asia Pacific, said, “The South China Specialties Hub will be built to Dow’s world-class environmental, health and safety standards and aligned to Dow’s recent commitment to become net carbon neutral by 2050.”
The Dow South China Specialties Hub will be located at Donghai Island in Zhanjiang. Unique advantages include a deep-water port, transportation networks, and a world-class chemical park with advanced infrastructure and services. The strategic location enables Dow to cover demand across Asia Pacific.

Nov 23, 2019 BASF breaks ground on $10bn China chemical complex
January 10, 2019， BASF and Guangdong provincial government signed a Framework Agreement in
Ludwigshafen setting out further details of BASF’s plan to establish a new
smart Verbund site in Guangdong, China. Following the signing of the Memorandum
of Understanding in July 2018, BASF has selected the city of Zhanjiang as the
location for its second Verbund site in China.
The total
investment is estimated to reach up to $10 billion and will be implemented in
phases. The project will include a wholly-owned steam cracker with a planned
capacity of 1 million metric tons of ethylene per year and several plants for
consumer-oriented products and solutions.
2019年1月10日――巴斯夫今天与广东省政府签署框架协议，进一步明确巴斯夫在中国广东建立智慧一体化（Verbund）基地的规划细节。自2018年7月双方签订谅解备忘录后，巴斯夫正式宣布在湛江市新建在华第二个一体化基地。
项目总投资额将达100亿美元，并将分阶段实施。新建基地将包括一个由巴斯夫全资运营、年产100万吨乙烯的蒸汽裂解装置，和数个面向消费市场的产品和解决方案生产装置。
